Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor, director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of both a British father as well as an Turkish-born mother from England. In her early years, Anna was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna moved to Toronto in November 1999 in order to continue her acting career. She eventually settled down to Los Angeles (California) over the following decade.
