Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 making her the second-youngest winner in Oscar history. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress, and New Zealander who at the age of a youngster, was awarded an Academy Award in 1993 for the most outstanding supporting actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as a little girl and grew there. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of the blind Scottish pianist, who in the middle of 19th century, moves to New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an audition open to all when she was just nine years old, and had no previous acting experience. At the age of a teen the family relocated from Canada to the United States. Paquin played a minor role in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was a child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and a lead part in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin played Frankie Addams from a television film adaptation of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding (1997). The actress was a part of the supporting cast in The Queen of Spain Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997. She portrayed teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
