Sheryl Underwood is she is an American comedy and television star best known as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. She was born and raised within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised by the midst of a challenging family. Sheryl spent most of her youth caring for her sister Frankie as she was a victim of polio. While growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mother. Sheryl states that her mother was once brutally beaten by her father for getting too close. Sheryl joined the military after her college graduation. However her interest lay in comedy. She was the only female to make it through the 1989 competition Miller Lite Comedy Search. In 1992, she began her TV debut as a regular on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011, she's been acting as co-host on The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. Furthermore, she's been in fictional roles on shows such as Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
